OpenBugs: the Community

This set of pages is intended to supplement the main OpenBUGS pages. The purpose is to provide a forum for users of OpenBUGS to exchange ideas. As you will notice very quickly, this is very much in its initial stages of construction. The positive side of this is that you can influence what the site will look like.

The purpose of this site is to provide material (articles, code etc.) for using OpenBUGS. This will include:

• Developments in OpenBugs
• Hints for solving tricky problems
• Example code for common analyses, and specific types of model
• Interfacing WinBugs with other packages (e.g. R)
• Beginners' corner: tips and tricks for anyone trying to start writing their own code
• Teaching with OpenBugs
• Whatever else people think is useful

This site is meant to be for the community to use, so you are encouraged to submit articles, or pleas for articles that you would like to read. If you want to submit something to this site, then email it to me. It should be in html format: note that OpenBUGS can both read html code, and write .odc's out as .html.

There is a bulletin board, where OpenBUGS users will be able to discuss the use and development of OpenBUGS. If there is a topic that you feel should be discussed, then email me with your suggestion.

There are also some links, which I will try and expand. In particular, if anyone has set up their own pages describing their use of OpenBUGS, then I'd like to know!
