Research
TeachingI value good teaching as much as
good research, if not more. I have lectured at the Eötvös University
(Budapest), at the University of Turku (Finland) and at the University of
Helsinki (Finland) on mathematical modelling, theoretical ecology, evolutionary biology, population genetics, and quantitative genetics, both to students of biology and of mathematics.
o Introduction to mathematical biology (for students of mathematics; Helsinki, spring 2011; fall 2012)
o
Mathematical
methods in biology (for students of biology; Helsinki, every other year, next time fall 2011 - spring 2012, previously 2005-2006, 2007-2008, and 2009-2010)
o Spatial models in ecology and evolution (Helsinki, fall 2006; spring 2009, spring 2013)
o Mathematics of infectious diseases (Helsinki, fall 2013)
o Speciation theory (Helsinki, fall 2008; fall 2010; fall 2012)
o Adaptive dynamics (Oslo, 2008 spring; Vienna June 2007; Budapest, 2003 spring; Jyväskylä summer school, 1999; short courses: Helsinki summer school 2012, EMS-ESMTB summer school 2011, FroSpects winter school 2011, Uppsala Dec 2009, Helsinki summer school 2008, Fourth Winter School on Population Dynamics, Woudschoten (The Netherlands), January 2002)
o Quantitative Genetics (lecture notes in Hungarian)
o Population Genetics (lecture notes in Hungarian)
