About the Society

Finnish Mathematical Society (FMS) is the society of researchers, professionals and students of pure and applied mathematics in Finland.

The society supports research and education in mathematics. The society also works to improve the awareness about mathematics in general.

The activities of the society include international visitor programme, the annual Mathematics Days event and prizes for outstanding mathematical theses.

The president of the society is Professor Mats Gyllenberg and the secretary is M.Sc. Tadeas Priklopil. The editor of the society newsletter Eukleides and the webmaster is Dr. Antti Rasila.
